A few days ago, I wrote this artcle about the sudden 10-day closure of the Sunspot Observatory near Roswell, New Mexico. I speculated that it may have something to do with one of several nearby military facilities -- but it seems the reason for the closure may be more mundane, perhaps mundane enough to warrant the flying-in of military helicopters...
