There exists a lot of arguing in the F\OSS community on what to call Linux as an operating system: Linux, Linux distribution ("distro" for short), GNU Linux, GNU/Linux, and GNU+Linux all seem to be the order of the day. So what should we be calling operating systems that use Linux as their kernel?

Anime: What is it, really?
I love Pokémon. It's my most beloved passion. If I were stuck on an island with only one thing, I'd want it to be my Pokémon collection. But when speaking with fellow Pokémaniacs about the television show, I'm often told, "It's not a carton, it's an anime!" What does "anime" even mean?!
Sunspot Observatory closed due to… a paedophile?
A few days ago, I wrote this artcle about the sudden 10-day closure of the Sunspot Observatory near Roswell, New Mexico. I speculated that it may have something to do with one of several nearby military facilities -- but it seems the reason for the closure may be more mundane, perhaps mundane enough to warrant the flying-in of military helicopters...
Linus Torvalds: Time to take a break!
Back in 1991, a college student by the name of Linus Torvalds created the Linux Kernel and announced it to the public (or at least, those in the public interested in Minix), and said at the time that it won't be "big and important". Oh how he was wrong -- he quickly amassed a following of enthusiasts and developers who helped turned Linux into what it is today: the heart and soul of a great many devices (I guarantee you have a Linux-powered device right now, even if you don't realize it!), the operating system* that runs the vast majority of the Internet, and the beloved treasure of people all over the world that care about their own digital freedom. Over the past 27 years, Linus Torvalds has remained the head honcho of the Linux Kernel development -- but what if Linus needs to take a break?
Observatory near Roswell, NM Closed Down
On September 6, 2018, the Sunspot Solar Observatory near Roswell, New Mexico was shutdown, a clear call to the conspiracy theorists to jump into action. Was it UFOs, ETs, or something else?
Pokémon Theory: Why Bewear is obsessed with Team Rocket
Ever since the Sun & Moon series began, I've wondered why Bewear seemingly had a strange fetish for Jesse, James, and Meowth from Team Rocket. This is my attempt at explaining Bewear's strange obsession with Team Rocket.
Bow-wow! It’s time to reconsider if Pluto’s a planet!
By now, most of us know that Pluto had it's status as a planet stolen from it and replaced with "Dwarf Planet". Personally, I don't take issue with referring to a really small planet as a Dwarf Planet -- after all, there's nothing wrong with classifying planets! But if it's not a planet, why the heck are we calling it a Dwarf Planet?
Calico Kris sets sail…
Like most people on the Internet, I'm of the egocentric sort of person that wants to be heard regardless of whether or not people want to hear me. Unlike most people on the Internet, I'm not interested in pointlessly posting every pointless thing that goes on in my life or every pointless thing that crosses my mind. No, my "says" are much deeper than that...
